How to make an Own Damage Claim

Send your vehicle to a Idac.

Have the workshop submit an estimate of the repair cost to your insurance company.
Third Party Claim
If you are involved in an accident where the third party is at fault, you may wish to claim against the other party for you loss. The third party insurer will pay for the damage to your vehicle as well as for other losses incurred.
How to make a Third Party Claim

Send your vehicle to a Idac then to your own workshop. If the other party is at fault, the workshop will repair your vehicle and assist you in making the claim.

If the workshop’s evaluation is that the particulars of the accident make a third party claim difficult, they might decide not to assist in making the claim.

If you still wish to proceed with the third party claim, you will have to submit your claim directly to the third party insurer. You might wish to follow the steps shown below:

Get your workshop to prepare a repair estimate.

Contact the third party insurer and request them to survey your vehicle. You can also engage an independent survey if the third party insurer has no objections.

After the survey, you may proceed with the repair.

Send your claim to the third party insurer, together with copies of your repair bill, survey report and photograph (if any), police report and police investigation results.
